BOILER REPAIRS

Same-Day Boiler Repairs

Where diary capacity allows, we can offer same-day boiler repairs for urgent loss of heating or hot water. Availability depends on your location, the time you call and our existing bookings. We will always give you the most realistic option available rather than promise a response time we cannot guarantee.

Suspect a gas leak or carbon monoxide?

Which Boiler Brands Do You Repair?

We repair all major domestic brands, including Worcester Bosch, Ideal, Vaillant, Baxi and Glow-worm. Parts availability and whether a repair is worth doing vary by model and age — if an obsolete or specialist component makes repair impractical, we'll explain your options.

↗

When Repair Stops Making Sense

One fault doesn't mean your boiler needs replacing. Replacement becomes the sensible option when breakdowns keep recurring, key parts are obsolete, there is significant corrosion or leakage, or the repair cost is high relative to the boiler's likely remaining life.

If replacement is the better long-term call, we can quote for a new boiler installation and explain exactly how we reached that recommendation. As Worcester Bosch Accredited Installers we can offer guarantees of up to 12 years on new Worcester Bosch boilers.

⌖

Boiler Repairs Across the Lothians

We attend breakdowns in Edinburgh, Musselburgh, Dalkeith, Penicuik, Bonnyrigg, Livingston, Bathgate, Haddington, North Berwick, Peebles, Galashiels and the surrounding areas.

BOILER REPAIR FAQS

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers to common questions about boiler repairs, fault diagnosis, costs and replacement options.

01

Can you repair my boiler the same day?

Often we can diagnose the fault on the first visit and repair it immediately if we're carrying the part or it's readily available. Some faults need a return visit or a specialist part.

02

My boiler pressure keeps dropping. Can you fix it?

Yes. Repeated pressure loss is usually caused by a leak, an expansion vessel issue, a pressure-relief component or another fault. It needs diagnosing rather than topping up again and again.

03

Should I turn off a leaking boiler?

If water is escaping from the appliance, switch it off at the fused spur and contact a heating engineer promptly. If you suspect a gas leak or carbon monoxide, call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999.

04

My boiler is showing a fault code. What does it mean?

Fault codes vary by manufacturer and a code alone doesn't always identify the cause. Tell us the code when you call — it helps us bring the right parts.

05

How much does a boiler repair cost?

It depends on the fault and the parts needed. We diagnose first, explain what's wrong and agree the cost with you before carrying out chargeable repair work.

06

Can you tell me whether to repair or replace?

Yes. We'll set out the repair cost, parts availability and the condition of the boiler so you can make an informed decision.

07

Do you repair boilers in rented properties?

Yes. We work with landlords and letting agents and can combine a repair with a Landlord Gas Safety Check where needed.
