Consultation and survey
We start with the room, your priorities and the practical constraints. We look at the existing plumbing, drainage, ventilation, heating and layout, then discuss whether you want to retain the basic arrangement or make larger changes.
Scope, products and quotation
The quotation should clearly identify labour, supplied products, allowances, customer-supplied items and any work that is excluded. This is particularly important with bathrooms, where product choices can change the price significantly.
Strip-out and first-fix work
The existing fittings are removed as agreed and the underlying area is inspected. Plumbing and other first-fix changes are completed before surfaces are closed. If hidden defects such as damaged floors or previous leaks are found, we explain the options before additional work proceeds.
Surfaces, installation and finishing
The bathroom is prepared for the selected finishes, then the sanitaryware, shower, taps, furniture and accessories are installed in the correct sequence. Final sealing, testing, snagging and cleaning are completed before handover.

Can you move the toilet, shower or basin?
Often yes, but moving fixtures can require significant drainage and pipework changes. We assess the feasibility during the survey and explain the implications before the layout is finalised.
How long will I be without a usable bathroom?
This depends on whether the property has another bathroom and the scope of the work. We plan the sequence to minimise disruption, but full refurbishments inevitably involve periods where fittings are unavailable.
Can I buy my own bathroom suite?
Potentially. If you are supplying products, we recommend confirming specifications before ordering so the sizes, connections and compatibility are suitable. Responsibility for damaged or incorrect customer-supplied items should be clear in the project terms.
Do you install wet rooms?
The existing site promotes wet-room capability. Keep this claim only if the team genuinely provides the full waterproofing and installation system required. If so, include it in the service scope and gallery.
Do you offer finance?
Only add finance wording once Heat Tech Scotland confirms an active, compliant finance arrangement and supplies the required regulatory wording. The rebuild should not make a generic finance claim without this.
